A press conference scheduled to be held on Thursday, December 3 by Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel alongside her attorney Gloria Allred has been canceled. The cancellation was made by the top notch lawyer's firm on Thursday morning. In a statement issued to the press, it was stated that "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the news conference scheduled for today is canceled. There will be no further statements on this matter."
Uchitel, 33, is the first woman who is suspected as one Woods' mistresses. She is famous as New York City party girl with a reputation of bedding married celebs. And though rumors have run rife that she has a fling with Woods, she has adamantly denied them. In a recent interview with FOX News Channel she insisted, "I met him twice and have not heard from him since. This is not something I want to be involved with at all. I'm not trying to go out there saying I'm having an affair with Tiger Woods."
On Wednesday, December 2, Radar Online ran an exclusive report that Uchitel was planning to admit publicly she was having affair with Woods in a press conference set for Thursday. In a press release it was confirmed that "at the news conference Ms. Allred will make a statement about Ms. Uchitel's relationship with Tiger Woods." It is stated further, Uchitel "will be present at the news conference but will not speak."
Now that news of the press conference cancellation has made its way all over the media with no official statement on what causes it, new speculation has been brought forth that Uchitel is in talks with Woods for a $1 million payoff with one condition that she doesn't go public with their fling. Neither parties involved in the issue has offered a single comment though. Allred herself has been cited as stating, "I have no comment on Tiger Woods or my client."
