Owl City has his single 'Fireflies' landing atop Billboard Hot 100 and his album 'Ocean Eyes' charting at No. 8 on Hot 200.

AceShowbiz - Adam Young started making music in his parents' basement only because he found it hard to sleep at night. He then named his musical project as Owl City. From a guy who has trouble with sleeping, he has become one of the hot newbies in music as he scored his first No. 1 single with "Fireflies".
The track which features Relient K's vocalist Matt Thiessen has jumped from number 7 to the top spot of Billboard Hot 100, selling more than 878,000 downloads to date. Being released in June, it actually debuted only at number 97 on the U.S. singles chart.
Not stopping only by cracking Hot 100, Owl City also makes a name on Billboard Hot 200. His major-label debut album "Ocean Eyes" which was released under Universal Republic peaked at number 8 on the Albums chart by selling over 180,000 copies worldwide. Moreover, it has reigned Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Owl City will take his music on the road across Europe beginning February 17 in U.K. with LIGHTS. He said, "I couldn't be more excited to hop across the pond and visit a part of the world I've dreamt about seeing for years!" He will also embark on a North American tour, which will be his second one since his traveling show last fall.
Aside from the headlining tour, the musican has been booked for several major Christmas concerts, such as Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden and Star 94 FM Jingle Jam at The Arena of Gwinnett Center. More info about his upcoming shows can be seen on his official website.
