Jeffrey Dean Morgan Says Yes to More John Winchester

The actor who plays Sam and Dean's father on 'Supernatural' says he has not been contacted by anyone although he has expressed his willingness to re-appear.

AceShowbiz - Should creator Eric Kripke decide to bring back John Winchester down to earth on "Supernatural", the actor portraying the character is ready to get in action. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, in his chat with Movie Web, said that he really wants to come back for at least one episode before the show ends for good this season.

"I don't know? I just read somewhere that Kripke wants me back. That guy, I think he's probably lying, but if it is in fact the last year, I'd like to come back," he states. "If it really is going to be canceled after this year then I'd like to come back. I've been saying for the last four years that that storyline got cut out too soon. I'd love to go back for at least one episode or something. I love those guys. I love Jared [Padalecki] and Jensen [Ackles] so much."

For one thing, Kripke mentioned once that he didn't envision the show to go beyond five seasons, prompting rumors of this 2009-2010 season to be the last. In response to that situation, Morgan says, "I heard that, too. Getting new actors and everything. Jared and Jensen wouldn't even be in it, just to fulfill his seven years. I don't know if that's even allowed and, by the way, I can't imagine Warner Brothers saying, 'Yeah, that's cool. You can get rid of Jared and Jensen'."

"They were going to take on secondary characters, maybe? I just don't see that happening. If you take out Jared and Jensen, you're going to lose 90 percent of your audience, probably. I can't imagine them doing that, but it makes for great news if you say that kind of stuff."

The last appearance that Morgan made as John was in season 2 when he went from hell to 'up'. His story was never explained since then. "Supernatural" itself is running its fifth season currently on Thursdays at 9/8c.
