Cody Linley is getting his own show. The 19-year-old actor who made his fame starring as Miley Stewart's love interest on "Hannah Montana" will star in a new Disney Channel Original Movie called "Starstruck" where he will be required to sing some songs.

Attending D23 Expo on Thursday, September 10, Cody himself spread the news. "Basically, he's into this plain Jane chick he has an adventure with and they have a cool friendship that happens. He starts to realize lots of things about himself and it has a cool message. I've been singing every day. I'm recording six songs for the movie," Cody said.

Shooting will start in about a week and Cody will have a scene where he performs at the Sunset Strip's Key Club. The TV movie, however, hasn't got a release date yet.

D23 Expo which is like a Disney version of Comic Con, is held at Anaheim Convention Center starting September 10 to 13. As one of the actors emerging from the behind the mouse house brand, Cody attended the event to sign some autographs and meet fans.
