His soul has been damned for his brutal and cruel actions in battle fields. That's the words coming from the mouth of 16th century puritan warrior in the first official trailer of "Solomon Kane". Debuted via IGN, the sneak peek offers the English version of the Russian trailer outed earlier and exposes the blood-shed actions done by the titular character.

After learning that he has been damned for life, Solomon Kane is determine to redeem himself. Returning to England, he converts to puritanism and lives a life of peace and goodness. But, soon his peaceful life is threatened when dark power arrives and finds himself dragged back to the life he desperately wants to leave behind as he fights against evil in all its forms.

Adapted from the classic pulp stories by "Conan the Barbarian" creator Robert E. Howard, "Solomon Kane" is the first part of a trilogy series. Directed by Michael J. Bassett, it stars James Purefoy as the titular character. Produced independently, it has yet to have a U.S. distributor and is playing at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 10 to 19.
