Turning 21 years old on July 20, Julianne Hough is proud to share to People magazine the best birthday gift she has received. "I've been wanting a camera for so long and he got me one of those nice Nikon D5000s," she told the weekly publication on the gift that her boyfriend, country singer Chuck Wicks, gave to her during a low-key private celebration recently. "It's awesome. I'm addicted," she added.

Now that she has the camera, Julianne admitted she often takes the pics of her puppy called Lexi. "I've got a thousand pictures and they're all of my dog Lexi," so she gushed. Speaking of Lexi, the country music songstress claimed her fans also love the dog very much. "I did a show last night in Madison, Wis., and [fans] had signs that said 'Go, Lexi!', 'She's the cutest dog in the world!' and 'We love Lexi!' I'm like, 'Okay, my dog is more famous than I am'," she revealed. "People are always like, '[Lexi] needs to have her own Twitter account!' "

On Saturday night, August 1, Julianne threw another birthday bash, which was staged at club mur.mur at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, N.J. She was seen all smile during the celebration and dancing to Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" though Chuck was not in attendance. Later that night, Julianne was treated to a shoe-shaped birthday cake.
