Summit Entertainment has added a new cast member for "The Twilight Saga" series by hiring Australian actor Xavier Samuel. According to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog, the 24-year-old will be joining "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" as Riley who happens to be Victoria's new fighting partner.

[SPOILER ALERT!] As Riley, Samuel will be seen as a good-looking college student converted to a newborn vampire. Having an inexplicable weakness for Victoria, he joins the legion of the vengeful vampire's followers who seeks to kill Kristen Stewart's Bella. The casting of the unknown actor put off hopes that "Harry Potter" baddie, Tom Felton, may take on the role.

Earlier, words have been swirling that Felton, the depicter of Draco Malvoy in the "Harry Potter" series, could be up for the role. However, the 21-year-old actor himself has remained coy about it. To his fansite Feltbeats, he gushed, "I'll be ready when they want me! Really, I'm only joking. I'm not really sure at this point; but you will be the first to know if I find out anything!"

An adaptation of the third novel from Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series, "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" itself will have "30 Days of Night" helmer David Slade on the director seat. Like the two "Twilight" movies before it, "Eclipse" will be penned by Melissa Rosenberg. Summit Entertainment has scheduled to release it in U.S. theaters June 30, 2010.
