Music

'Smash' and 'Not My Fault' which are claimed to be Chris Brown's new songs are old demos, so confirmed a spokesperson for Jive Records.

Two never-before-heard songs from Chris Brown titled "Smash" and "Not My Fault" which hit the web earlier this month are confirmed as old demos. A representative for his label, Jive Records, clarified the matter to MTV.

"Countering misleading reports of 'new' Chris Brown music: there are no 'new' songs from Chris Brown currently being promoted by Chris or his record label," the rep explained. "There are several old demos circulating that are being falsely promoted as new material from Chris."

"Smash" arrived last week with a claim that it comes from the production hands of Stargate & The Clutch. This song features the use of Auto Tune and contains lines which acknowledge a groupie fan wanting to have sex with him.

As for "Not My Fault", it came out earlier this week. This track is rumored to be worked on by The Neptunes. It carries lyrics "I pick up the paper and the headline reads/ It said 'Singer broken heart and some satin sheets'/ And I'm like why? We had a hell of a time" which lead to a speculation that he addresses on his altercation case with Rihanna.

Chris Brown himself is currently cooking up new materials for his new album "Graffiti". He will work with The Runners, Scott Storch and Keri Hilson in this record.
