Creator Mark Millar has confessed in a recent interview that a sequel to 'Kick-Ass' comic adaptation is in the work with a possibility of it being done within the next two years.

AceShowbiz - "Kick-Ass" is still in its post-production phase, but sequel talks have been brought up into attention. During a recent chat with Sci Fi Wire discussing about his hands-on approach as "Kick-Ass" producer, creator Mark Millar has spilled the bean that "Kick-Ass 2" is being planned and is already in the works.

"Kick-Ass 2 is already being plotted out," the 36-year-old opened up when addressing how "Wanted (2008)" paved the way of his other comic series being materialized as big screen projects. He further pointed out on the likelihood of the sequel being made within the next two years, explaining, "We're planning it, because all the actors are quite young and we have to make it relatively quickly. So we'll definitely do that inside the next 18 to 24 months."

Adapted from a comic book series by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., the movie "Kick-Ass" itself is directed by "Stardust" helmer Matthew Vaughn. It tells the story of Dave Lizewski, an ordinary teenage boy who decides to be a real life hero donning a superhero suit in his action. Starring Aaron Johnson as the titular character, this action fantasy film is supported by the likes of Nicolas Cage, Chloe Moretz, Lyndsy Fonseca and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
