Hayley Williams on Paramore's New Album: 'I Felt a Lot Heavier'

'I felt a lot heavier,' Hayley Williams says of what she feels toward Paramore's still-in-the-works album, which will be outed in September.

AceShowbiz - Paramore's lead singer Hayley Williams has opened up about what they are up to for the band's new album, stating that she feels "a lot heavier" in it. "I wrote ['Misery Business'] about a past experience, and I had already seen the outcome and gotten through everything. And that's the same with every song on the record, even the ones that weren't that personal. ... But this record, I felt a lot heavier," she tells MTV.

"We'd be at practice, and I didn't even like some of the songs at first, because of my parts, because I was like, 'This isn't a feel-good song, because I'm writing about something I'm going through right now, and it's still painful,' " Hayley continues her explanation. "And I confused that with actually not liking the songs, when actually I was prouder of them than I've ever been before. They're heavier emotions for me. ... I'm still going through some of this stuff, and these songs are really healing to me."

Though Paramore's forthcoming third studio album is yet to have any working title, it is confirmed to be dropped sometime in September. Most of the songs in the new effort will be dealing with "relationships and friendships and life in general."

In related news, Hayley Williams shared to Denver Westword that she doesn't want Paramore to be "Twilight" house band despite their success over scoring music for the Robert Pattinson-starring movie. "I don't want to be known as the 'Twilight' house band, so I think it'd be better if we leave it. Because it was such a great thing, maybe it'd be better to leave it there. Obviously, if we change our minds and everyone's cool with it, fine. But we don't have any plans to do any more of those soundtracks," Hayley said.
