'Inception', the next movie directed by Christopher Nolan after his blockbuster success with 'The Dark Knight', will have Leonardo DiCaprio as its leading man.

AceShowbiz - Coming off "Revolutionary Road", Leonardo DiCaprio will next join forces with "The Dark Knight" helmer Christopher Nolan in "Inception". Variety reported that the 33-year-old actor is reportedly set to take on the lead role for the contemporary sci-fi actioner as he is in final negotiations for the deal.

While details of DiCaprio's character have yet to be disclosed, he is expected to join the project when the shooting begins sometime later this year. Before he goes on with this project though, "The Aviator" star will be seen in another Martin Scorsese's movie, "Shutter Island". He is also attached to two other projects, "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt" and "The Chancellor Manuscript".

"Inception", in the meantime, is based on an original script written by Christopher Nolan. It has been described as a "contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind." Nolan will carry out the role of co-producer along with Emma Thomas and director. The Warner Bros. Pictures movie is expected to be hitting the cinemas by summer 2010.
