New 'Watchmen' Video Journal Goes Behind Rorschach's Mask
Movie

Director Zack Snyder, Jackie Earle Haley and 'Watchmen' crew talk about how they bring Rorschach to life and the effects for his shifting inkblot mask in a new video journal of the adaptation film.

AceShowbiz - The eleventh video journal of "Watchmen" has been found via Watchmen-Rorschach's FaceBook. Entitled "Rorschach's Mask", the webisode takes its focus on the central character of the movie and his perpetually shifting inkblot mask as described by director Zack Snyder, the character's depicter, Jackie Earle Haley, and some of the film's crew.

Bringing up behind-the-scene footage of the action fantasy film, the video opens with Snyder explaining about the background of Rorschach from his childhood to his discovery of the inkblot mask. Then, the focus turns to the mask as some of the film's crew, including visual effects supervisor John Des Jardin, detail on how they make the inkblot in the mask changes following the character's mood.

Set to hit U.S. big screen on March 6, "Watchmen" is adapted from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' comic book series of the same title. It follows superhero-turned-vigilante Rorschach as he investigates the murder of his former colleague and discovers much more than a simple homicide case. Written by David Hayter and Alex Tse, it features the likes of Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Malin Akerman and Patrick Wilson.
