Sarah Jessica Parker told reporters that she and husband Matthew Broderick do not bother to address the mounting rumors claiming they are divorcing. Declining to talk further about the issue, she insisted as for her the best part of being married is "being married."
Parker and Broderick, whose marriage has been put under the media microscope following rumors of him cheating on her, put on a united front on Thursday night, January 22, hitting the opening of Broadway play "The American Plan" at N.Y.C.'s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Downplaying rumors that their marriage is on the rocks, the pair was seen holding hand.
Parker, who was seen wearing a polka dot dress, white coat and spiky black heels, told reporters, "This is date night. It was really lovely."
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have been married since May 1997. They are parents to one son, named James Wilke Broderick. According to People, the celebrity couple attended the opening of "The American Plan" to show support for director David Grindley, who will begin rehearsals for another Broadway play, called "The Philanthropist," with Broderick in six weeks.
