Kelly Osbourne is out on bail after checking herself into a central London police station for allegedly assaulting gossip columnist, Zoe Griffin, in a London popular club.

Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of rock singer Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon Osbourne, has been jailed earlier this month after allegedly slapping gossip columnist, Zoe Griffin, in a London nightclub after the writer mocked her boyfriend Luke Worrall. The incident, as reported by the Daily Mail, took place at the popular Soho district hangout, Punk, back in August last year.

It is claimed that Kelly got mad at Zoe over an article she wrote in which she called Luke stupid as he didn't know what an earthquake was. "I have an issue with you. My boyfriend knows what an earthquake is and everyone has been laughing at him and he's upset," Zoe later told police as quoting Kelly. "That's when I felt a hard slap to my right cheekbone," Zoe added.

Having voluntarily checked herself into a central London police station earlier this month, Kelly was released on bail and is scheduled to attend a hearing on the case in March.

A representative for Kelly won't comment on that matter. Meanwhile, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson discloses to the press, "We can confirm a 24-year-old woman attended a central London police by appointment on Jan. 2. She was arrested for common assault relating to an alleged incident in Soho in the early hours of Aug. 29."

Kelly Osbourne and Luke Worrall, who is a model, have been dating since last year. They are rumored to have been engaged after he changed his Facebook online relationship status to "engaged to Kelly Osbourne." No confirmation nor denial has been issued by the lovers about the engagement report.
