In a post on her blog, Katy Perry denies the reports claiming she calls her separation from Travis McCoy "hurts right now."

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is wasting no time to set the record straight regarding the statement she made during a show earlier this week, at time of which she was quoted as publicly stating, "it hurts right now." It was believed that she meant her statement as a reference to her break up with Travis McCoy. Putting the brake into the false reports, she insists the statement has nothing to do with her personal life.
Katy was delivering an acoustic performance at L.A.'s Hotel Cafe on Monday night, January 12 when she let her emotion spill out and told the sold-out crowd her new single, "Thinking of You", means "a lot" to her. "It's one of those slit your wrists songs, like one of those R. Kelly songs like 'Real Talk.' Like when you break up with somebody and you don't wanna move on, but you have to move on," she explained.
"And sometimes you find yourself making out with somebody else and you feel like you're cheating. But you're not cheating because you're broken up," the songbird continued. "And I know being a girl, I've had sex with a guy, and been thinking about a different guy the whole time. That's 'Real Talk.' And even though you're broken up, it still feels like cheating. And it hurts right now."
The following day, January 13, Katy posted a brief message on her blog, insisting she wasn't necessarily talking about her own life that night. "I don't give statements about my personal life," she wrote on the post, titled "just an FYI."
She went on explaining, "The stories read about the things I say introducing some of my songs are merely to explain the forth coming song. I enjoy being myself on stage and that's what you expect of me. I have made many of the same introductions before ... just lately everyone's dissecting my every word. Understandable. When I wanna share something with the world, the world will know ... otherwise, stop looking for a story, or an explanation."
Katy Perry and Travis McCoy, the lead singer of Gym Class Heroes, ended their romance before New Year after dating for about a year. Since then she avoided discussing that matter with the press.
