Donning his Kick-Ass costume, Aaron Johnson's Dave Lizewski fights some crooks in the newly-released images from Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of Mark Millar's 'Kick Ass'.

First two official pictures from "Kick-Ass" have been shared by First Showing. Focusing on the titular character in action, the photos display New York City high school student Dave Lizewski in his homemade green and yellow suit and mask.
One of the images exhibits Lizewski played by Aaron Johnson kneeling on top of a man and pointing his batons to the other baddies, while the other still sees bloody Lizewski nailing a thug. Allegedly, these pictures are taken from the scene of Lizewski's first attempt on nailing crooks which ends up on YouTube and makes him famous.
Directed by "Stardust" helmer Matthew Vaughn, "Kick-Ass" is adapted from a comic book series by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. It also stars Nicolas Cage as Damon Macready, Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl, Lyndsy Fonseca as Katie Deauxma, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist. The action fantasy flick is expected to be released in 2009.
