Emma Thompson will miss out "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". In a recent interview with MTV, the 49-year-old stated that she won't be making an appearance as Hogwarts' Divination Professor Trelawney in the last "Harry Potter" franchise, claiming that she chooses her "Nanny McPhee" project instead of the boy wizard film.

"No, no, no," she said when asked on the possibility of her coming back to the series. "I'm making my own 'Nanny McPhee' next year. They mean much more to me." Though Thompson has made it clear that she won't be seen once again as Trelawney, it is still unclear whether the character itself will still be included in "Deathly Hallows".

Thompson has made her debut as Trelawney in the "Harry Potter" series through "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". In late May, her representative has come out with a confirmation that her character has been left out from the forthcoming "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" despite the fact that she plays an important part in the sixth book.

The last of "Harry Potter" series, "Deathly Hallows", will be made into two films, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II". The first part is slated for November 19, 2010 release, while the second eyes May 1, 2011 release. The two will resolve around the adventure of Potter and his two best friends in finding all the remaining Horcruxes and destroying them all once and for all to make sure that Lord Voldemort won't be able to return.

"Harry Potter" aside, Thompson gave out some hints to what "Nanny McPhee" next movie is all about. "The working title is 'Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang'," so she claimed. The "Stranger than Fiction" actress then explained, "It's not a sequel, actually, it's a new story."

On the story, she gushed, "[The second film] is set one hundred years later; the only thing that is the same is Nanny McPhee. It's about two families: A family of country children, and a family of town children, [both] during the war. So it's about evacuees, and the father is away at war. So this time, the lone parent is the mother. That's what it's about: The big war, and a war between these two sets of extremely different children."
