AceShowbiz - BadTaste.it have got the chance to see a new trailer and several scenes from "The Spirit" which have been showed off when Frank Miller was in Rome to introduce the action adventure film. And, they have provided the written description on the footage noting that they hold never before seen scenes.

On the trailer, they started off writing that the footage begins with The Spirit voiceover followed by a clip where a woman helps Spirit and Scarlett Johansson's character saying, "we have to do something about Spirit." Then, there is a flashback showing younger Denny Colt with Sand Saref. The trailer tops with gunfight between police, Spirit and Octopus and ends with Spirit saying, "I'm on my way."

Revealing that some of the scenes screened were already shown at 2008 San Diego Comic-Con, BadTaste continued by describing other new scenes. The first one lets out that Spirit gets a call in which a man tells him that something is happening in the swamps and Octopus is involved. The second displays Octopus in a laboratory making a clone of himself, but failed to do so.

Then, another scene focuses on Spirit's attempt in arresting Sand Saref. Spirit tells her about her past, but she doesn't recognize him. Meanwhile, the last scene described previews the time Spirit meets Silken Floss. Pretending she is about to kiss him, Floss injects Spirit on his neck instead. The complete description of all the footage can be read at BadTaste.it.

Apart from footage descriptions, two brand new character posters from the film directed and scripted by Miller have been unraveled. Debuted firstly by UGO, they highlight on Spirit and his foe, Octopus. One of the posters displays Spirit standing with bullet holes all over his upper body part, while the other one shows Octopus holding two guns on his hands.

The Lionsgate Films flick stars Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes and Sarah Paulson, and is supported by Dan Lauria, Stana Katic and Paz Vega. Returning from the dead, Spirit poses as a masked hero seeking to sweep off criminals from Central City, including his foe, Octopus. Along the way, he meets a line of women seducing him out of his track for their own goals. It is due Christmas Day, December 25.
