Despite the media scrutiny surrounding the Spears family, Miley Cyrus addressed them to have inspired her family. The singing sensation openly admitted it to Access Hollywood's Mel B on the red carpet of the MTV's Video Music Awards Sunday, September 7.
Miley testified that both Spears family and Cyrus' are close to each other. She even claimed that her mother Leticia 'Tish' Cyrus and Britney Spears "are like great, great friends".
She, however, didn't disclose in what way Spears inspire her family and how close their relationship is. Instead of discussing those issues, she simply stated that she and her family are "so excited for them and their family just coming out. So empowered."
Addressing on other topic, Miley told Mel B that she borrowed her mother's shoes for the awards show and was "adjusting" to them as "they're too small!" Finding the shoes "not good", she indeed was proud of her dress, which is of Zac Posen's design. "I feel like - I'm like dancing - like salsa!" the Disney star revealed her feeling of wearing the dress.
In other Miley news, she was a victim of an Internet hoax which claimed that she had died on September 5 morning in a car accident. The fake news claimed that she was on her way to film scenes for "Hannah Montana" when her vehicle collided with a large truck. The report has since been denied and proven false as Miley made several public appearances during the weekend, one of which was the MTV's VMAs in which she took the stage, singing "Living on a Prayer."
