Ashley Tisdale Recorded Cover Version of '80s Hit  Songs

The pop singer/actress has just finished recording cover tracks of hit songs in the '80s for the promo of her deodorant product.

AceShowbiz - Star of the hit Disney TV movie "High School Musical", Ashley Tisdale, is going '80s for her new music project. The pop singer reportedly has just finished recording some cover songs from famous '80s singers such as Rick Astley, Cindy Lauper, Belinda Carlisle and Whitney Houston.

The hit songs that she covers are "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" (Belinda), "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" (Whitney), "Never Gonna Give You Up" (Rick), "Time After Time" (Cindy) plus one track from Cathy Dennis titled "Too Many Walls". All of the tracks are recorded for the promo of Degree Girl deodorant, which Ashley is being contracted to.

All of those songs will be released in the format of EP titled "Degree Girl: OMG! Jams", to be outed sometime in June. Beside that, the tracks can also be tuned and downloaded at DegreeGirl.com.

Beside recording songs for her product's promotion, Ashley reportedly has also recorded another cover song, which is Pat Benatar's "Shadows of the Night". That song will be included as one of the soundtracks for her upcoming DVD movie titled "Picture This".
