The words "you can't judge a book by its cover" seems to be the right sentence to describe what just happens to Ne-Yo. The highly acclaimed singer and songwriter recently admitted that he has made a wrong judgment regarding Lindsay Lohan's musical quality.

Ne-Yo who co-wrote a new song titled "Bossy" for the Hollywood babe with music producer Stargate, told Billboard.com that at first he did underestimate Lindsay's capability in working on the single. "I gotta admit, we were like ... Lindsay Lohan?'explained Ne-Yo. "I mean, I've written for Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Celine Dion and ... Lindsay Lohan? But I will say this; we gave her a quality record and she did a ridiculously fabulous job."

Ne-Yo also revealed because of his false perception, he decided to call and apologize to Lindsay. "I was so shocked I had to call her and apologize for what I was thinking because she did so good." The R 'n' B singer/songwriter also suggested the the world will be surprised with the actress' new song saying, "I think the world is gonna be surprised."

Beside writing a song for Lindsay, Ne-Yo also recently has finished penning tracks for Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis and Usher. Another song project reportedly the "Because of You" singer will do is making some songs for Michael Jackson. Commenting on that news the singer/songwriter said, "There's nothing new. I'm submitting songs and I... still don't know anything about a release date or any of that."
