The single itself is the third single released from his latest album "Trilla". Before dropping "Here I Am", the rapper has spawned "Speedin" and "The Boss" as the first and second tracks.

The new album, was released on March 11 after being pushed back from its previous schedule in December 2007. The new LP is Rick's second album after "Port Miami"in 2006.
