Making the celebration of the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival even merrier, "Kung Fu Panda" rolled down its red carpet on the festival's second day to mark the world premiere of the upcoming comedy animated movie. Held at Palais des Festivals et des Congres in Cannes on May 15, the red carpet event attracted many stars as well as the titular panda himself, which is represented by a man wearing Po's suit.

Attending the special celebration were some of the film's stars, Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu and the very pregnant Angelina Jolie. The latter actress came to the event wearing a low-cut forest green flowing dress and accompanied by her partner Brad Pitt. Beside the four thesps, other notable people grazing the red carpet include Eva Longoria, Natalie Imbruglia, Rachael Leigh Cook and Aishwarya Rai as well as director George Lucas.

Though the premiere itself didn't possess any spectacular surprise, a day prior on Wednesday, May 14, Black and a group of 40 men dressed in a giant panda suit gave a memorable press-op to a pack of reporters, photographers and camera crews. On the occasion, Black generated laughters with his demonstration of sloppy kung fu. The video of the press-op can be seen below.

In the meantime, "Panda" is coming into theaters on June 6. The movie directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne follows the story of Po, a lazy panda whose dream is to become a martial art master. When a prophecy comes into realization, it turns up that he is the chosen one to save the world. Hence, a group of well-trained and legendary kung fu masters are forced to train him to become one of them before the enemies strike in.
