Is preparing for the release of his next album "Here I Stand", Usher has just pocketed another new job. The R&B singer is reported to have signed a deal with Sony Ericsson to be its new brand ambassador.

Reports claimed he's been tapped to help marketing the company's W350 and W980 Walkman phones, which are scheduled to be released later this year. The deal gives fans access to exclusive content and contests, including the opportunity to meet Usher on the set of a video shoot and the chance to win tickets to his European concerts.

Usher, furthermore, is reported to kick off the partnership with a performance at an exclusive show hosted at London's Indigo venue docklands on May 22.

Speaking about the company's partnership with the Grammy-winning singer, Sony Ericsson music marketing manager John Bernard said, "Working with an artist such as Usher is an ideal fit for us. Here we are at the start of an electrifying launch campaign, poised to deliver a totally 360 degree experience for all consumers and Usher fans alike - it's truly an exciting prospect."

As for the company's new walkman handsets, Bernard commented, "With clear audio technology on Sony Ericsson handsets we have moved to the next level of music on your mobile with the increased quality of the listening experience. Coupled with great design on the 2008 line up of products, the partnership is a great showcase to highlight the Sony Ericsson range."

"Here I Stand" is Usher's fifth LP. The set will marry the street on May 27.
