Following earlier report about the 2010 outing of 'Iron Man' sequel, Marvel Entertainment have come out with a better news as they announced on Monday, May 5, that it will be released in April 2010.

With the massive success garnered by the man in iron suit throughout the past weekend, the sequel of blockbuster movie "Iron Man" is certainly will be developed as promised. In fact, by the time the estimates for revenue calculation came out on Monday, May 4, Marvel Entertainment announced the exact Summer release date for "Iron Man 2" in 2010.
The follow-up to the action film which has pulled in approximately $102.1 million domestically and over $198 million worldwide since its opening on Thursday night, May 1, is now set to arrive in theaters on April 30, 2010. Adding to the exciting news, Marvel Studios Chairman David Maise stated in the press conference that the sequel will be used to introduce another Marvel superhero, Thor. Further, Maise noted that it will probably have the Hulk to appear as cameo as Iron Man makes a special appearance in the forthcoming "The Incredible Hulk".
Concerning other Marvel's movies, the studio have also given out update to their other developed films slate on the special occasion. Aside from second "Iron Man" movie, 2010 will see Matthew Vaughn-directed "Thor" on June 4. Additionally, "The First Avenger: Captain America" and the most awaited "The Avengers" movie have been said to be bowing into theaters on May 6, 2011 and July 2011 respectively.
Earlier, it has been reported that the development of "Iron Man" sequel will depend on the reaction of the market toward the particular superhero movies. Directed by Jon Favreau, the film about a genius billionaire building a super armor suit to escape capture and ending up saving the world is starred by Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and Leslie Bibb. It has been screened in the theaters across the U.S. officially since May 2.
