Representatives for Lindsay Lohan have confirmed that the actress-singer has been approached to replace Britney Spears to host a Scandinavian Style Mansion gala in Los Angeles next week.

AceShowbiz - Hot on the heels of her public statement that she's back on track and ready to focus on work, there comes a new report that Lindsay Lohan is to replace one-time party pal Britney Spears as the host for the Scandinavian Style Mansion gala in Los Angeles next week. Representatives for the star have confirmed that matter.

Britney was supposed to host the Scandinavian Style Mansion bash, slated to be held at a private residence in Beverly Hills. She, however, lost the gig after being dropped following her mental treatment at the UCLA Medical Center back in January 2008.

Explaining on that matter, Danish businessman Claus Hjelmbak who initially asked Britney to host the party, said "I personally feel that the most important thing for her now is to focus on her health and get the help she needs and deserves."

Representatives for Lindsay, meanwhile, have confirmed that their client has been approached to host the party.

The forthcoming Scandinavian Style Mansion party, according to E! News, "is set to feature the creme de la creme of Scandinavian fashion houses." Britney celebrated her 26th birthday at a Scandinavian Style Mansion event back in December 2007.

In the meantime, talk is heating up that Britney is selling off a photo of herself and a group of 10 young children she's been teaching at the North Hollywood Millennium Dance Complex with the money earned about to be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee which treats patients with cancer.
