After answering rumor that Gemma Arterton is being cast as the new Bond girl, the producers of the much awaited action film said that Olga Kurylenko has joined the cast as the leading female character

AceShowbiz - Though the names of "Bond 22" cast slowly but steadily being confirmed one by one, questions about the leading actress remain. However, on Monday, January 7, the speculation has been met with an answer as according to Hollywood reporter, the producers of the new James Bond movie said that Olga Kurylenko has been cast as the leading female character.

Reportedly, the Ukrainian actress has landed the role of Camille, an alluring character who challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper Lynd's betrayal. The 28-year-old top European model will play alongside Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Jeffrey Wright, Giancarlo Giannini and the newcomers, Gemma Arterton.

Kurylenko previously can be seen starring as Nika Boronina in Xavier Gens' action film "Hitman" with Timothy Olyphant and Dougray Scott. She also appeared in a romantic film directed by the Coen Brothers,"Paris, je t'aime" in which she plays opposite Elijah Wood. Recently, the receiver of the certificate of excellence award at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival finished filming an indie thriller "Tyranny".
