Thousands of families and friends attended Pimp C's funeral Thursday, December 13 at the Robert A. Bowers Civic Center in the rapper's southeast Texas hometown of Port Arthur.

AceShowbiz - Bun B, Chamillionaire, Mike Jones, Trae and Willie D of the Geto Boys were among thousands of families and friends saying farewell to Pimp C in a funeral held Thursday, December 13 at the Robert A. Bowers Civic Center in the rapper's southeast Texas hometown of Port Arthur.

As the funeral service was about to begin, instrumentals of the music that made Pimp C famous were played over the sound system and when the music stopped playing the Rev. John R. Adolph began a prayer. The religious ceremony also included the reading of a resolution by the mayor of Port Arthur and remembrances by Jeff Sledge of Jive Records and Pimp C's mother, Weslyn Monroe who said her only son was in heaven.

The ceremony reportedly lasted for almost two hours with fans continued to remember Pimp C as they left.

Pimp C, better known as one-half of the hip hop duo UGK, was found dead in his room at the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Boulevard Tuesday morning, December 4. He was 33.

While the Department of the Coroner is awaiting an official toxicology report to determine the cause of Pimp C's death, investigators believe that the rapper died of natural causes in his sleep as there weren't drugs or any other related paraphernalia found in his room.

Toxicology test results will be available in six to eight weeks dated from the time of his death.
