The Rock Offered Two Roles in Shazam!, Asking Fans to Help Him Pick One

The Rock told MTV that he is approached for both roles of Captain Marvel and Black Adam in "Shazam!" and is letting fans of the characters decide which one fits him.

Last noticed to give positive respond on the idea of him being in "Shazam!", The Rock turns out to have already got into discussions for not only one but two main roles in the movie.

The wrestler-turned-actor, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, recently revealed to MTV News that he is in talks to play either Captain Marvel or the villainous Black Adam and so, is calling on fans of the characters to help him choose which one he should take.

"We've been meeting for months. We're toying with either one," he said. "I think it's up to the fans. Without question."

For the hunk, letting them pick the role for him actually is "not something I would do with every role" yet the thought occurred to him after attending this year's Comic-Con in San Diego alongside director Peter Segal, whom he collaborated with in "Get Smart."

"We went to Comic-Con a couple of months ago, and after coming back, we came to the conclusion that this particular role is not up to me, not up to Pete, and not up to the studio," he recalled. "I think it's up to the fans, very specifically because they are passionate about the comic book, about the history and mythology [of the character]. They will be very vocal."
