On the way to complete filming her scenes in "I Know What Boys Like", previously known as "House Bunny", in L.A., Katharine McPhee appears to have already had a schedule for her next big screen performance.

The 23-year-old songstress told MTV on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 that she is about to star in a dramatic indie flick called "Success" which she would shoot November this year.

"It's darker, it's definitely hard to explain, but a specific style," she remarked upon comparing the project to the output of iconic indie filmmakers like the Coen Brothers and Jim Jarmusch. "[The 'Success' script] has great writing and definitely quirky characters, really well-developed characters."

In terms of casting, McPhee pointed out that several other actors are currently in the process to get their deals finalized, but politely refused to further reveal their identities, saying she does not know yet who gets attached to the picture. On the other hand, the beauty gladly provided basic description of the role she is set to play:

"I play this sweet, nice girl who gets the attention of this guy," she informed, adding that while her character might be a romantic, she is not a femme fatale. "No, no. She's cool; she's the cool chick. And then there's this other female character, and [it becomes] very complicated. It's one of those interesting indie films."
