The stamps set reportedly presents the images of Potter also his close friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in drawings as portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, respectively, in the movie series.

Potter has been assigned for domestic priority mail while Weasley for slower domestic mail and Granger is heading further afield on international mail. Various images of the teen wizard hero have already appeared on postage stamps in Australia, the Isle of Man, and Taiwan, among others.

The first big screen installment of the series, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", came up in the States in 2001 under Warner Bros. Pictures banner to gross about $317 million in the country and over $658 million internationally. The fifth part, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", is slated to open in theaters July 13 this year.
