Movie

Looking for great music figure to collaborate with, Mariah Carey has successfully earned agreement from grizzled country star Willie Nelson to work together in writing a song for her upcoming movie project "Tennessee."

Carey will perform the tune in the flick while also singing an a-cappella version of Nelson's "Help Me Make It Through the Night." The pop diva has already been billed to play the female lead there, a waitress and aspiring songwriter named Krystal Evans who travels with her two brothers to find their long-lost father.

Currently in production in New Mexico after taking its start last month, "Tennessee" is directed by Canadian filmmaker Aaron Woodley from Russell Schaumberg's script. James D'Arcy and Ethan Peck are co-starring with Lee Daniels producing. It is expected to open in U.S. theaters at the end of this year under Lee Daniels Entertainment.
