"The Kingdom" gets one more talent to be included in its cast list. "Cupid" star Jeremy Piven has given his agreement to fill the role of an American diplomat in Saudi Arabia who assists an elite team of U.S. government agents sent to the Middle East, Variety has reported.

Doing so, Piven therefore is the latest actor to join the project after Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, plus Jason Bateman. The man previously was seen playing Daryl Sabara's father in "Keeping Up with the Steins" and has already wrapped up "Smokin' Aces" for Universal Pictures.

Also a production of Universal, "The Kingdom" is another directorial work of Peter Berg based on the scripts penned by Matthew Michael Carnahan and Michael Mann. Berg is also producing along with Mann and Scott Stuber. Filming has been conducted since July 10, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona with an aim to meet an April 20, 2007 release.
