On the wake of his September 2005 released album "Back Home," great musician Eric Clapton is back on the road. The renowned guitarist has planned to spend the late spring and early summer on an extensive tour of Europe.

Beginning the tour on May 5 in Le Cannet, France, Clapton will then continue visiting 13 countries through its July 31 conclusion in Helsinki. Supporting him on the run will be guitarists Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks, keyboardists Chris Stainton and Tim Carmon, bassist Willie Weeks, drummer Steve Jordan, the Kick Horns and vocalists Michelle John and Sharon White.

In related news it is reported too that Clapton will in 2007 publish a memoir via Random House, which will coincide with the release of a comprehensive box set and a North American tour.
