Oliver Stone has begun the shooting of his 9/11 film feature

AceShowbiz -

Promising to not recreate the large-scale devastation that's all too familiar to residents who lived through the 9/11 incident, Oliver Stone has started shooting his film about the 2001 attacks in New York. The movie, which is starred by Nicolas Cage, takes most of the action in Los Angeles sound stage and will not show the collapse of WTC although news footage of the towers themselves is about to be shown during the film.

In addition, the film will not interpret the politics or meaning of Sept. 11 and will only focus to portray the event as it happened. "We're not doing everyone's story that day," said Michael Shamberg, one of the producers. "We're trusted with the accuracy of the particular story that we're telling."
