The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office dropped the charges against Paris Hilton petty theft she did at Swing Newsstand in December, 2004. The lack of convincing and sufficient evidences to the charges has become the main reason for the D.A. to reject the case.
Wont take it seriously, Paris seems not to focus at that law suit at all, while the newsstand owner, Jason Swing, and its clerk, Jerry Castro, feel very disappointed with the D.A. decision. Swing claimed that stealing One Night in Paris DVD from behind the counter and toring up its poster had shown Paris direspect and vandalism for his newsstand, which then could be a strong evidence for the D.A. to fill in charge againsts her. Jerry Castro, in addition commented that the D.A. might make mistake and that they should reconsider their decisison.
