In the sun-bleached and surreal streets of Los Angeles, the most corrupt and incompetent police force imaginable patrols in Quentin Dupieux's bizarre crime drama. This motley crew of degenerate officers, including the scheming Duke (Mark Burnham) and his unsettling partner Sunshine (Steve Little), is less concerned with justice and more focused on personal vendettas, shady music deals, and covering up their own chaotic mistakes. Their world spirals further into absurdity with the arrival of enigmatic figures like a mysterious neighbor (Marilyn Manson) and a persistent mother (Grace Zabriskie), each encounter pulling the thread of their fragile criminal enterprises. As their illicit activities and blatant misconduct begin to dangerously intersect, the so-called lawmen find themselves navigating a self-made labyrinth of deception and violence. Blending dark comedy with a gritty, off-kilter atmosphere, the film paints a hilariously grim portrait of authority at its most absurd, where every attempt to maintain control only accelerates the descent into madness.
