Scuffle in the Lou
In this high-octane action short, a chance encounter in a St. Louis dive bar spirals into a blistering, no-holds-barred...
In this uproarious comedy, former high school weakling John Farley, played by Seann William Scott, returns to his Nebraska hometown to receive a prestigious award, only to discover that his sweet-natured mother, Beverly, portrayed by Susan Sarandon, is dating none other than his sadistic former gym teacher, Mr. Woodcock, brought to life by Billy Bob Thornton. John's childhood tormentor, whose brutal coaching methods left him with lasting emotional scars, is now poised to become his stepfather. Determined to save his mother from this monstrous union, John launches a campaign to expose Mr. Woodcock's true nature, but the manipulative teacher proves to be a formidable opponent, using every underhanded trick in the book to sabotage John's efforts. Directed by Craig Gillespie, this PG-13 comedic romp balances slapstick humor with genuine heart as John grapples with his past traumas and learns that sometimes, the biggest bullies can teach unexpected lessons. With a supporting cast including Amy Poehler and Ethan Suplee, Mr. Woodcock delivers a hilarious and surprisingly touching look at second chances and the complicated bonds that can form between the most unlikely people.
