When a spoiled, self-absorbed Hollywood starlet, played by Jessica Simpson, finds herself in hot water after a very public meltdown, her agent hatches a desperate plan to salvage her image: she must join the U.S. Army for a "Major Movie Star" role. Thrust into the grueling reality of basic training, the clueless diva clashes with a tough-as-nails drill sergeant, portrayed by Vivica A. Fox, and a motley crew of fellow recruits, including Cheri Oteri, Olesya Rulin, and Keiko Agena. Her designer luggage and attitude are useless against obstacle courses and reveille. As she struggles with the physical demands and the camaraderie she never expected, she begins to discover a sense of purpose and self-worth far beyond the red carpet.
