Ned Fulmer is an American internet personality and former member of the popular YouTube entertainment group The Try Guys. He gained widespread recognition as one of the four founding members of the ensemble, which became known for its comedic and often daring experiments testing a wide range of activities, from testing their sperm count and raising toddlers to shaving their legs and wearing women's underwear. Fulmer's role within the group, often characterized by his enthusiastic and family-oriented persona, helped build a dedicated following before his departure from the company in 2022.
Fulmer co-founded The Try Guys alongside Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger, and Zach Kornfeld while the four men were working at BuzzFeed. Their initial videos quickly went viral, leading the group to form their own independent company, 2nd Try LLC, in 2018. Under their own banner, the Try Guys expanded their operations significantly, growing their company to include more than twenty employees. Their success extended beyond YouTube, as they starred in the Food Network series No Recipe Road Trip and released a book titled The Hidden Power of F*cking Up. As of October 2022, their YouTube channel hosted eleven spinoff series featuring employees of the company and other collaborators, demonstrating the group's evolution into a full-fledged media production entity.
In September 2022, Fulmer was removed from the company following an extramarital affair with an employee. The highly publicized incident marked a significant turning point for both Fulmer and the Try Guys brand. Following his exit, the remaining members continued to produce content and restructure the company. In May 2024, Eugene Lee Yang announced his departure from their flagship show, though he retained co-ownership of the company. In the same month, the Try Guys announced nine new cast members, including Jonny Manganello, Joyce Louis-Jean, Miles Bonsignore, Ryan Garcia, YB Chang Biste, Marissa Rivera, Jared Popkin, Ash Perez, and Kwesi James. Also in 2024, the company launched a boutique subscription streaming service called 2ndTry TV, further cementing its transition into a new era without its original four-member lineup.
Fulmer's tenure with The Try Guys remains a defining chapter in the history of digital entertainment, illustrating the rise of creator-owned media companies and the precarious nature of public personas in the internet age. Since his departure, he has largely stepped away from the public spotlight that once defined his career.
