When the details of Lanie Kellis's report are leaked to the press, the story has everyone at the Farm on the defensive. As he worries about the damaging report, Vic is approached by the discredited ex-cop Ben Gilroy who, claiming he's being pressed by the D.A. to cooperate, asks for help in getting out of the country. And though he smells a possible set up, Vic mobilizes to get the phony documents Gilroy needs to escape. With the negative publicity jeopardizing his job as well, Aceveda's future now rests with his winning a city council seat. Yet, when his campaign manager suggests launching a smear campaign against his opponent, he balks. Meanwhile, as Danny and Julien arrest a pregnant gang-banger, Claudette investigates the heart attack of a burglary victim as murder, even as Aceveda presses her to drop it. And despite all his efforts to resist, Vic is forced to hire a new member for the Strike Team.
