When the victim of a violent truck hijacking points the finger of guilt at the Los Mags leader Hector Estanza, a stakeout at the house of his girlfriend, Tigre Orozco, ends with Lemonhead shooting a fleeing suspect. However, after Vic plants a gun on the wounded, unarmed man to make it look like self-defense, Lemonhead is stunned to discover that the man he shot is actually Tigre's brother, Chaco. And though Vic claims he's part of the gang, an investigation reveals that Chaco has been a model citizen ever since he was paroled. As Dutch and Claudette investigate the case of a elderly blind man who was attacked by coyotes after being chained outside by his son, Claudette's father asks her to make amends with her estranged daughter, Rebecca, and her new fiance, Warner. As Dutch is getting intimate with murder victim widow Kim Kelner, Lemonhead goes after Hector for abusing Tigre. As Dutch strikes up a friendship with her dad, Claudette sets out to track down the wife who left the Maynard Hawkins in the care of their son, Lloyd. And to get Chaco out of jail, Vic agrees to steal the gun he planted on him from the evidence room. When Lemonhead admits to the shooting, Tigre's lust for revenge is tempered when the cop protects her from Hector's thugs. After discovering that his missing wife's Social Security checks are being fraudulently cashed, Claudette finds Maynard a home following son Lloyd's son's arrest. And after agreeing to disagree with Rebecca's choice of a new husband, Claudette warns Warner that she'll be watching him. Finally, after Vic and the Strike Team masquerade as gang members and hijack the evidence van, Aceveda has Hector arrested. And with Chaco freed, Tigre falls into Lemonhead's arms.
