After the principle sends out letters to all the students in summer school telling their parents they should have more family dinners, the Secret Lifers begin making dinner plans with their parents. Madison tries to convince Amy to forgive her, but Amy and Lauren are still mad at Madison for sleeping with Jesse. Not knowing the true reason for their fight, Dr. Fields (Lauren's dad) and Morgan (Madison's dad) arrange a big dinner along with Amy and George. The dinner blows up in their face when the fathers discover the reason for their fight.
Adrian has dinner with her parents and tells them about Omar. Leo invites Dylan and her parents over to discuss their problems, but when Ben shows up and asks them to stay for dinner, Dylan's parents turn down his offer. Ricky and Nora have their own family dinner and reminisce about some old family memories.
Jack visits Grace at Adrian's condo with some lasagna, and he tells her to stop lying to Kathleen. Kathleen calls Grace, who slips up and accidentally reveals that she's staying with Adrian. Kathleen tells Grace that she already knows and drops an even bigger surprise: Grace's dad had a secret girlfriend. However, Kathleen doesn't tell Grace that her dad also has a secret teenage son.
