Just home from the hospital, Zeek is on a mission and bellowing for his wife. He's decided to give his beloved Reggie Jackson baseball to his first great-grandchild, and he needs Camille to grab the shoebox where he stowed it right now. The baseball's not in the box, but something even more precious is: several canisters of undeveloped 35mm film. Camille and Zeek decide it's the perfect project for Max. Across town, Adam and Crosby are surveying what's left of The Luncheonette. It's depressingly empty, and Adam's doubts are mounting. But Crosby is undeterred. He hangs a photo of the brothers from their first day in business, claiming it's going to bring their mojo back. Later, Adam tells Zeek it's "all good," but Zeek's not convinced. When Adam confesses he wants out of The Luncheonette, which would kill Crosby's dream, Zeek advises him to do what's best for his family. In Zeek's eyes, Crosby has turned into quite a man; he can handle whatever Adam dishes out.

During a shoot, Sarah announces that she's finally ready to talk about the giant tomato in the room, i.e. Hank's ham-handed proposal of marriage. Was it real? While Hank admits his timing may have been off, he meant every word he said. Now the tomato is solely in Sarah's hands. Across town, Julia calls Joel to ask what they're doing. When Joel suggests getting together to talk, Julia suggests talking right now. Within minutes, Joel is knocking on Julia's door - but rather than talk, they fall into each other's arms. The next morning, the couple is waking up in the continued throes of bliss when Sydney knocks on the bedroom door. Why is it locked? Knowing this will be too confusing without a master plan, Joel hides under the bed, and it's a frantic few minutes before Julia can get Sydney out the door.

Seth has finally come through for Amber, sending her a much-needed crib for the baby. The only trouble is the crib has to be put together, and it's pretty complicated. Sarah tries to make the best of it, but Amber laments that it's just like Seth to give a great present, then stick her with all the hard work. Sarah apologizes for not choosing a better dad, but Amber knows she's just stressed over making the decision to raise a child alone. Sarah runs over to the studio to borrow a hammer and is surprised when Hank pops in. He steers the conversation to the proposal. There are a lot of reasons to say no - what are Sarah's top three? Sarah's just beginning to voice her serious concerns when Max charges in, hell-bent on developing his grandparents' film, so she decides to talk through the proposal with Julia during an exercise session in the park. Julia suggests making a list of pros and cons, the best route to making a practical decision.

Adam approaches Crosby. Although he's loved working together, he wants to dissolve the business. Crosby claims to understand, telling Adam not to feel bad. But when Crosby shows up at home early and goes straight to bed, Jasmine knows he's feeling terrible and is crushed to hear that Adam's walking away from the business. Even baby Aida pouts, feeling her father's sadness. Later, Jasmine stops by the house to talk to Adam. Asking to keep their conversation private from Crosby, Jasmine explains that she knows there are plenty of reasons to close the business. But there are also plenty of reasons to keep it open. Adam needs to do what's right for his family, and Jasmine has to do what's right for hers. Despite what he said to Adam, Crosby is crushed. Will Adam please reconsider his decision? Later, when Kristina finds Adam studying The Luncheonette's books, she wants to know why. She understands Crosby's sad, but he'll get over it. Adam always takes care of everyone else - isn't it time he takes care of himself? Adam's not sure, but he does know the idea of turning his back on Crosby feels terrible. Unable to discuss it further, Adam takes a walk... to The Luncheonette, where Crosby is taking their first-day-of-business photo off the wall. Crosby nearly cries when Adam tells him they're back in business; they're going to make it work, although Adam's face says otherwise.

Joel and Julia meet for coffee to discuss next steps. They've got to work things through before they tell the kids. Joel insists he's all in - they can work out their relationship. That's when Julia asks about Chris. Her relationship with Chris is over, but they still work together and she wants to keep her job. And then what about living together? Julia's overly emotional right now, what with Zeek's health. Two years ago when she was unraveling, Joel left. She knows life was rough then and it will be again. Joel promises he will never leave Julia again.

Hank and Max have a serious talk while developing Zeek's old film in the darkroom. Hank is deep into reminiscing, realizing he was a know-nothing kid in his 20s. While his life got more complicated, what he wanted from it got a hell of a lot simpler. Later, Camille and Sarah look over 40 years of amazing never-before-seen Braverman photos. Their attention is particularly drawn to a photo of Sarah, taken the day before she left home at 19, when they had a huge fight. Feeling emotional, Sarah confesses that Hank proposed. Now she keeps going over the list of reasons why the marriage won't work. Camille's thankful she didn't pay attention to her list. Does Sarah love Hank? Does he make her happy? Then what else is there? Hours later, Hank knocks on Amber's door holding his toolbox. He heard she was trying to put a crib together - does she need some help? Relieved, Amber gives Hank a big hug, waves him inside and promptly falls asleep. By the time Sarah arrives, the crib is all put together. Touched, Sarah has one word for Hank: "Yes." They're getting married!

During an afternoon at the skating rink, Julia calls Joel, just wanting to say hi. Somehow it feels a lot like a first date, especially when Joel asks her to stay on the phone, then shows up at the rink. The kids skate off, so Joel takes Julia's hand and pulls her into a deep kiss. Sydney and Victor couldn't be happier, because this time it seems real. Their parents love each other deeply and they're getting back together.

Zeek has an epiphany: He stashed his Reggie Jackson baseball in a shoebox in the rafters of the old garage, so he recruits Camille to drive back there. They sit in the car, watching the new owners' kids play in the yard; it wasn't so long ago that their yard and their family looked like this. When Camille encourages Zeek to knock on the door and get his baseball back, he changes his mind. Someday those kids are going to be messing around in the garage, they'll find his shoebox full of baseball stuff and it will be like hidden treasure - the best day of their lives.
