The call center team is huddled around a computer monitor, watching a video message from Manmeet's long distance girlfriend, Ashlynn. She's narrated a tour of her apartment; the team marvels as she walks around the apartment pointing out various rooms and shiny appliances. As a finale, Ashlynn teases Manmeet with another marvel: she unbuttons her clothing. The call center team is nothing short of shocked.

On the street outside Mid America Novelties, Manmeet has a favor to ask Todd. He wants to borrow Todd's apartment for use as his own in the video love letter he's creating to send back to Ashlynn. Charlie's listening in and offers to take control of the video project for Manmeet. It turns out Charlie's an amateur filmmaker; he explains that Manmeet really needs to sell himself.

Gupta explores a package of new novelties that has arrived. He finds a giant electronic ear that amplifies distant sounds. Fascinated, Gupta begins listening in on his co-workers' conversations. He overhears Asha talking about her wedding and Rajiv talking to his future father-in-law.

Charlie and Manmeet continue shooting their video valentine, convincing office workers to extol Manmeet's many virtues. As they're shooting, Rajiv and Gupta burst in yelling at each other. Gupta is furious, claiming that Rajiv slapped him. Todd intervenes and tries to sort out what happened - but the men give conflicting accounts. He confers with Human Resources via video conference. His rep tells him that he must get to the bottom of the matter and fire the responsible party.

The next morning, Gupta comes limping into the office with a cane, complaining of a concussion and other injuries. Rajiv remains steadfast - he didn't slap Gupta. Todd conducts a full investigation, recording the testimony of each man. Gupta's account is that of a vicious Rajiv, striking him repeatedly, drawing blood, and leaving him in fear for his life. Rajiv's account is that he embarrassed Gupta, who then retaliated by slapping himself repeatedly. Todd doesn't know who to believe.

Todd discusses the dilemma with Tonya in the cafeteria. As they're talking, Charlie bursts in with a revelation. While shooting the movies for Manmeet, his camera accidentally caught the incident of Rajiv and Gupta arguing. The tape clearly shows Rajiv slapping Gupta.

Todd finds Rajiv at a sidewalk cafe and offers him an opportunity to come clean. Rajiv confesses that he was under intense pressure about his upcoming marriage and snapped. He apologizes and throws himself at Todd's mercy. Todd tells him that he'll take care of it. Later, through the hole in his apartment floor, Gupta confesses to Todd that he actually incited Rajiv. Gupta had been listening in on Rajiv's contentious conversations with his future father-in-law - and went on to mock Rajiv, who became understandably furious and slapped him.

Todd follows up with HR, explaining it all away to a misunderstanding. After making some suggestive and inappropriate remarks to Todd, the woman from HR signs off. No one needs to be fired. Relieved, Rajiv tells Todd that he's willing to serve any punishment. Todd explains that Gupta himself will decide the appropriate punishment. Rajiv is aghast, but has no choice. Gupta finds the perfect sentence: Rajiv must play board games with him for five hours.

Manmeet has a change of heart regarding how to present himself to Ashlynn. He decides to showcase the real person; he reshoots the tape showing his real life and family, admitting he's a simple man. It turns out that honesty is the best policy. After watching the video, Ashlynn can't wait to visit.
