Allison dreams of a Navajo Indian being burned to death by a man in a flameproof suit. She wakes up speaking a foreign language (Dine) and hearing English as gobblygook. She can read English on computers or on her cell, and she makes friends with a linguist, Jane, who translates for her. Frustrated with his wife's situation, Joe struggles to keep his feelings in check. Allison discovers that Jane was an accomplice to the murder having overheard the Navajo man bragging about robbing a bank. Jane calls Allison from a tropical paradise, but is overheard bragging about the money and killed by a local.
