Wendy and Victory are with Nico and baby Charlie, waiting for Kirby to watch him while they all go off to work. Victory fills Wendy in on a project the Baren Brothers are conducting for a new hotel line. They have been meeting with every designer, but have yet to reach out to Victory. Wendy offers to call in a favor for her, since she knows them.

Nico and Kirby talk about the future with Baby Charlie. Nico has a meeting with her attorney in the afternoon to discuss adopting him. Kirby is trying to be supportive of her choices but has some hesitation.

Wendy returns home to find an old colleague from Parador waiting to talk to her about Cassidy's script that she is producing. Steven Draper talks Wendy into letting him produce the project with her, or so he thinks.

Shane comes home midday to find Wendy packing up some baby clothes for Charlie. Shane pushes the subject of them having another, but Wendy isn't having it. She wants to produce movies, not more babies. Shane implies that he likes her as a stay-at-home mom, which Wendy does not take well.

Nico meets with her attorney to discuss her rights to Baby Charlie since Megan abandoned him. Nico asks him to do whatever he needs to do in order to get her custody. Maddie is working for Victory at the store. After seeing her flirt with the delivery boy, Victory encourages her to step up her game next time he comes in.

Wendy pays Steven a visit at his office to discuss the details on producing Cassidy's movie together as a team. They agree to move forward. Back at Nico's, Victory calls to ask about Kirby's availability as a photographer. Nico, hesitant to give Kirby up as a babysitter, lets her know she'll think about it. Once off the phone, Nico fills Kirby in on Victory's request. He lets Nico know that Charlie is a favor and Victory's offer is a real job, a job he needs.

Steven and Wendy, along with Cassidy, meet with the studio about their project. The studio disagrees with Wendy's choice as the lead actress. Now they need to figure out a way to toughen up their lead actress.

Nico is at home with Charlie while Kirby takes the Victory job. Megan's parents arrive to take Charlie home with them. Nico checks her rights with her attorney, but she has no choice. Charlie leaves with his grandparents.

Wendy gives Victory some advice on how to jazz up her pitch to the Baren Brothers. She suggests that Victory re-shoot the pitch at her store with herself as the main subject. Victory decides to take Wendy to her store to discuss the concept further.

Victory and Wendy walk in on Maddie making out with the delivery guy Paul in the dressing room. Wendy, upset, tries to talk to Maddie, but Victory interjects. She confesses that she might have encouraged Maddie to flirt with Paul. Victory tells Wendy she'll talk to Maddie about it.

Kirby walks into Nico's apartment in time to see her let Charlie go home with his grandparents. Devasted, Nico watches them walk away. The emotional distance between Kirby and Nico widens.

Steven, Wendy, Cassidy and their lead actress pay a visit to a boutique. Steven ambushes them with a fake security guard who makes it appear that Piper, their actress, stole from the store. The paparazzi cover everything from the outside.

Nico tells Wendy that she and Charles were pregnant once, after Wendy had gave birth to Taylor, but they lost the baby. Nico shares her plans to freeze her eggs as back-up, knowing that Kirby isn't ready to have a baby.

Victory fills Wendy in on Maddie's self-esteem issues considering her mom's beauty. Wendy, not wanting to hear it, doesn't think Victory's right, but takes some time that evening to talk to her daughter. Maddie, concerned she's the only one in her grade to not have had sex, talks with her mom about guys and love. They share a true mother-daughter moment. After that, Wendy and Shane struggle with the "stay-at-home" conversation, creating tension between them.

Nico and Kirby attend a gallery exhibit. Attendees take markers that glow in blue light. You write what you want on the wall, but no one sees it 'till the blue lights come on. When it does, Nico sees the words "I'm not happy anymore" written in Kirby's handwriting.

Nico and Kirby part ways after realizing that they are in different places in their lives. Kirby knows that Nico would have chosen him over Charles, but also knows that she would have chosen Baby Charlie over him.

After celebrating Victory's success on clinching the hotel line, Nico joins them to share the news that she and Kirby have called it quits.
