On the verge of losing her virginity to her 21-year-old boyfriend Justin, 15-year old Carrie Lynn Eldridge (played by Danielle Panabaker) is caught by her mother Denise (played by Cathy Moriarty), who calls NYPD, and insists that he's charged with statutory rape, despite her daughter's objections. When Detectives Benson and Stabler try to follow up on the case, they find Denise brutally murdered in her apartment, the young lovers as suspects, a children's rights lawyer who refuses to cooperate, and history of chronic alcohol abuse and violence by the deceased.
