On the way to a meeting with Cooper, Piper hands Mike a card from Regina Fairmount, matchmaker. A friend of Mike's was turned down by Regina for not having enough money. He prefers to go his own way, but Sam snatches the card. She's still down for the quarter, and is losing whales right and left. Delinda's excited that a green conference is coming to the Montecito.

Developer Paul Grant is scheduled to speak at the conference. He has some property that Cooper wants, so he asks the staff to be extra nice to him. Grant checks in. Cooper is about to go say hello, until he spies attractive Erin Hudson with Grant. Cooper backs off, ordering Danny to track Erin's every movement. The girls remark that they've never seen Cooper flustered, and Delinda swears he's got a spark for Erin.

Delinda chats with someone from the conference. She's thinking of making her menus organic, but he explains that being green is more complicated, and gives her some pamphlets. Mike wants to go green with a new waitress with huge knockers, Kelly. The crew spies on Cooper, who's wrangled Grant away from Erin. Cooper's interested in Grant's Saskatchewan property, and Grant might be willing to sell.

Cooper and Erin snipe at each other, obviously old business foes with a long and bitter history. Delinda and Piper think it's billionaire foreplay. Sam meets her first match, chubby Bob. He wants to jet off to dinner in Paris. But Sam has to work, so she invites him to gamble, so they can get to know each other. Danny reports Erin's itinerary to Cooper; it sounds like she's preparing for a date. Cooper asks Danny to have the jet standing by, and by the way, when is he going to marry Delinda?

Bob apologizes to Sam. He's just not that good at gambling, and has already lost $400,000. Mike is shocked to learn that Sam is turning her suitors into whales, and Bob's not the only one. Sam points out Tom, a handsome guy who carries a wedding ring in case he meets his soul mate, and Darryl, a recent widower from Fort Worth. Mike wants to know what happens to Sam's karma when the guys find out the truth.

Danny's not that interested in all the research Delinda's been doing on carbon footprints. Vegas is probably the least green place on Earth. Grant and Cooper enjoy happy hour. The conference people raked Grant over the coals; he can't believe he missed his annual surf weekend for this. He leaves to get ready for dinner with Erin, joking that he's going to play her and Cooper against each other to get the best price for his property. Cooper remarks that it's too bad he has dinner plans, because surf's up in Baja.

Mitch watches as Cooper enters Erin's suite, claiming Grant sent him to fill in, while he's surfing with Danny in Baja. After some sparring and cigar smoking, Erin suggests that they have a lot in common. They both hate to lose. What happens when the cat and mouse game gets boring? What will they do for fun then? Later, Cooper places a ‘Do Not Disturb' sign on the door.

Delinda wants to talk to Danny about her ideas to green the Montecito, but he's not really into it. Sam captures the hearts of all her suitors, juggling with Piper's help. Later, Mike finds Sam drinking. Her slump is over, but what about her suitors' hearts? Sam longs for the days of old-fashioned dating, when you left with a full belly and your panties in your purse. Mike thinks her conscience is giving her a wake up call, and that she should tell them the truth.

The gang spies as Cooper orders two coffees and pastry, claiming that he's hungry as a bear after an all nighter. Delinda and Piper are convinced that it's hot love. Back in her suite, Cooper and Erin conclude the deal they've spent all night cooking up. Sam tells Bob that she's a lesbian, and that she's not ready to switch teams. But she has called one of her whales, a chubby chaser who's perfect for him.

Sam introduces Darryl to a Texan widow, another perfect match. She tells Tom that she's dying, but he insists that she's still his soul mate, and gets down on his knees to offer her a ring. Delinda meets with Danny with a plan to completely green the Montecito. Danny claims they don't have those millions in the budget, but Delinda tells him to think about the world they'll leave their baby, and consider talking to Cooper while he's sleeping on the couch in his office.

Cooper and Erin tell Grant that he's overvalued his property. They own the surrounding property, and he won't be able to get any easements, thus he won't be able to develop. They'll consider buying it at a lower price. Grant promises his lawyers will call. Cooper and Erin shake hands, and Delinda insists that there's still a chance they'll get together. Sam tells Mike about Tom's ring, which is way too small, but he's got his mind on his next date with waitress Kelly.

Sam tells Tom the truth, and he admits that he's broke, and was in it for the money, too. All the more reason they're soul mates. Sam tells him to come back after he marries a rich woman. Danny drags Delinda to a suite that he and Cooper are converting to green. They're going to start slowly, and tap the emerging market for green travelers. If it makes money, they'll make more changes.
