Nick and Juliette are on a romantic weekend getaway to a small country town outside of Portland. Unknown to Juliette, Nick is planning to propose to her during the trip. Nick can't find their rental cabin, so he asks for directions at the nearby farmhouse of Tim and Robin. Juliette notices a sad-looking Robin in the window and she finds it unsettling. Tim points them up the road but not before Nick notices Tim is a cat-like Wesen. Apparently, this isn't going to be an off-duty weekend.

Later in the evening, Juliette can see Tim and Robin struggle outside their farmhouse from her cabin window and anxiously asks Nick to do something. Realizing his romantic intentions are already shot for the night, Nick dutifully calls in the domestic disturbance. After the sheriff leaves without hauling Tim away, Juliette is distraught. Nick tries to explain perhaps Robin didn't want to press charges, yet it doesn't sooth her angst. Meanwhile, inside the farmhouse Tim has tied Robin to a chair and is force-feeding her with a tube. "Sorry, baby, but it's got to be done."

Back in Portland, Hank is finding himself more and more obsessed with Adalind, even resorting to spying on her apartment from his car. Hank calls her and watches through her window as Adalind recognizes the number and then refuses to answer it. Some man walks up to Adalind's place, greets her with a warm kiss and then enters. Hank waits outside for a while until the man leaves and warns him never to come back. Hank is clearly agitated. Later, this anonymous person meets with Captain Renard. All of this was orchestrated to make Hank crazy with jealously.

Nick calls Monroe and describes Tim, the Wesen he encountered. From the description, Monroe realizes it's a Klaustreich. They're total jerks; women love them, and it never ends well. The next morning in the local supermarket, Robin is scheming with the grocery clerk, Gary, in an attempt to get out of town and escape Tim. At the same store, Juliette and Nick bump into Robin. Nick sees beyond her human exterior to see a bird-like Wesen creature. There's more to this Tim and Robin story than meets the eye.As Rosalie and Monroe go through her recently deceased brother's spice shop, they find a collection of her brother's fake passports. Rosalie has no idea why he would have these.

Monroe receives another call from Nick who details the other Wesen he's found. Monroe believes Robin could be a Seltenvogel, a breed thought to be extinct. Once in their life, they produce an Unbezahlbar: a dense mineral stone, like an egg, made mostly of gold. Monroe warns that after the Klaustreich gets the egg, he'll kill Robin like it's nothing.

Captain Renard sneaks into Adalind's apartment to discuss Hank. Adalind explains how Hank has already left a dozen voice mails. Despite her uncertainly with the plan, the captain asks Adalind to answer the next time Hank calls. "Just be who you aren't." Once Hank tries again, Adalind accepts the invitation, and they go out to dinner. The captain's mysterious wishes continue to move forward.

When Tim gets a phone call and leaves Robin alone in the farmhouse, Robin jumps at the opportunity to leave. Juliette watches Robin run into the woods from her cabin window and implores Nick to follow her. On a nearby deserted road, Gary the grocery clerk is waiting for Robin next to his truck. He turns his head after hearing a branch crack and sees Tim in Klaustreich form attack him.

Robin reaches Gary's truck and gets inside. Gary's corpse falls onto her lap from the driver's seat. A screaming Robin scrambles out of the vehicle as Tim grabs her from behind and takes her back to their farmhouse for another "feeding." Nick finds Gary's body in the truck, calls the sheriff and tells him to meet at Tim's farmhouse.

Back at the farmhouse, Tim straps Robin to the chair and forces her to eat through the tube again. Tim inspects the Unbezahlbar forming in her neck and it looks almost ready to "hatch." Nick is able to enter the house and knock Tim out. Trying to comfort Robin with the news the sheriff is on his way, Robin is more panicked than ever. The sheriff is Tim's cousin and is aware of the whole affair. Understanding they're on their own, Nick and Robin hurry into the moonlit woods to hide.

Nick and Robin cannot get far before Robin collapses. The Unbezahlbar in her neck is now blocking her windpipe and Robin begs Nick to remove it. Nick frantically calls Rosalie in the spice shop for help. Finding the necessary books, Rosalie guides Nick to cut into the skin along the widest part of the stone and reach in to pull the Unbezahlbar out. As soon as the stone is removed, Robin's throat immediately heals and she can breathe again. Nick offers the "golden egg" back to Robin, but she tells him to keep it. She never wanted it in the first place. Tim and the sheriff find them in the woods and thank Nick for the "delivery." Nick threatens to break the stone, which would make it worthless and keeps tossing it in the air and catching it. Both Tim and the sheriff are nervous with Nick's careless handling of the Unbezahlbar. Finally, Nick tosses it at the sheriff, causing him to drop his gun even though Tim ends up catching the stone. Nick subdues the sheriff and then pursues Tim. During the chase, Tim trips and the Unbezahlbar shatters into a thousand pieces. Nick comments, "You know what they say... in order to make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs. "

Back at their cabin, Nick admits to Juliette that even though this weekend didn't turn out as planned, he still has one perfect moment he'd like to make. Nick pulls out the engagement ring and asks Juliette to marry him. Juliette is hesitant and eventually says she can't. She loves him deeply and wants to marry him someday, but she knows Nick is still keeping things from her. Juliette understands Aunt Marie's death was hard on Nick, yet until he can let her back in, she's won't say yes. Devastated by Juliette's response, Nick slowly walks away, leaving Juliette to stare at the ring.
